Hello Piranhas!

It's almost time for everybody's favorite event of the year: Annual General Meeting! You'll be on the edge of your seat as we cover exciting agenda items such as:

• Identification of quorum!
• Approval of the 2022 financial statements!!!
• Appointment of Auditors!!!!!
• And, of course, everyone's favorite, PRESIDENT'S REPORT!!!!!!!!!!!

We are also tasked with electing a new Board of up to 12 Directors. We have a number of board members who are willing to stay on (and some who are not) but all positions are open to election each year. Descriptions of the roles are found on the website. Also feel free to connect with myself or any other board member to discuss the board or specific board roles.

The last item on the AGM agenda is to review and approve updated Bylaws. Last year I reported at the AGM that our bylaws were dated and not very robust, leaving us open to a lot of hardship if our club ever has contentious issues to deal with in the future. Attached, and linked here, are our current bylaws and proposed new bylaws. It is essentially a complete rewrite. I have set up a virtual review meeting on September 5th at 7pm; here is the link to the meeting. I'm also happy to take email comments, in-person comments, and of course comments on the day of the AGM. 

The AGM will be at 5:30pm on Friday, September 8th at the Cochrane Ranche Clubhouse Activity Center. Please see the attached poster for all the details.

Food and Awards

As if the AGM wasn't a big enough draw, we'll have pizza to start and we'll finish the evening by handing out our club awards. We have paid for a liquor license so you can also feel free to bring along adult beverages.

An event has been created on the website. Please RSVP by September 4th to help us order the right amount of food. Also, if you are able to help with the ordering, purchasing, picking up of food or setting up please sign up on the website.
