Who are we?
The Cochrane Piranhas are a not-for-profit, volunteer-run summer swim club based in Cochrane Alberta. Founded in the 1980s with just five swimmers, the club has grown into an award-winning and well-established competitive program with 74 swimmers aged 5 to 17.
The Piranhas are proud members of the Alberta Summer Swimming Association (ASSA), which is linked to Swim Alberta and Swim Canada. We compete in Region E alongside clubs from Okotoks, Didsbury, High River, and Calgary.
Our program emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a lifelong love of swimming within a supportive community environment.
