Hello 2024 Families,
My name is Christine and I am the officials coordinator for the Cochrane Piranhas. As many of you know, swim meets are run by volunteers. Becoming an Official is the main way to fulfill your volunteer requirements. There are courses coming up in order to learn the different roles involved. Please start with introduction to swimming officiating if you are new to swimming. After you’ve taken the courses, you will need to complete a number of deck evaluations depending on the position to be fully certified. You will learn more about that in each course. As the officials coordinator you will need to email me at [email protected] with any courses you have completed and your deck evaluation forms so I can ensure the information is captured on the swim Canada website.
