We have an exciting new year-round fundraising opportunity that you and family members can participate in.

SkipTheDepot is a program that allows you to recycle everything from bottles to electronics and even clothes without leaving your house!

How do you join this amazing program you ask? Easy!

1) Download the SkipTheDepot app and sign up for an account.

2) Book a pickup time. All donations need to be outside in bags, labelled with your unique ID, before 8am day of pick up.

3) Donate your proceeds to the Cochrane Piranhas. A credit to your account will appear in a few days after pick up. Any funds that you donate to the Cochrane Piranhas will be tracked by our treasurer and go towards your fundraising commitment for the swim year. You get 10 cents for 0-1Litre and 25 cents for > 1Litre

Service fees. This is the information I found out from their website. They offer full refunds on all deposits with a service fee of up to 30% applied for a residential pickup. There’s also a $1.50 fee from the bank applied for e-Transfers, and a minimum $25 cash out policy.

We will still have our annual Bottle Drive and BBQ in May but this is another great way to fundraise.
