region relay updates ... criteria changed and new names

Hi Parents,

I'm sorry that this region relay selection process has been so complicated.  There was a problem with the rule interpretation and each region has re-created their lists based on:

- no swimmer can be on 2 region relays.

- Medley relay selection has priority (free is based on long free time)

- Free relay is based on short free time

- names are taken first from:

- regional results (who actually competed in the short free at regionals)

- region rankings based on Aug 2nd data

- swimmer must have qualified to swim at provincials (alternates count)

Attached is the current region E list.  If your swimmer's name is in position 5 or 6 they are being considered as an alternate in case any of the coaches report back that one of the qualifying swimmers cannot participate in the relay.

If your swimmer's name is highlighted, please confirm to me that they would be willing to compete in the relay.

It is likely that many alternates will end up swimming as its getting quite late in the week and not everyone is planning to be at the pool friday afternoon for these races.

Based on Meet Mobile from 2022, the region relays will start at around 4:50 pm.  I do not know if the time will be the same this year but its a good starting point for an educated guess.

For warmup times, swimmers in all groups except black will warmup in the first 30 minutes of the 60 minute warmup time.  Black swimmers will warmup in the second 30 minutes of the 60 minute warmup time.  There are no assigned lanes for warmups; so please be ready to go in the swimmer camp area 5-10 minutes before the warmup time so we can go as a group and try to get lanes together.

We are working as a board to streamline this selection process for next year so that it is not so error-prone and complicated.

I have also updated the qualifier table to include the new list of names for the relays.
